Samsung has officially announced the launch date of its new Galaxy A series phones, which are expected to include the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, on March 11.

The Korean company confirmed on its registration page some details about its upcoming mid-range phones, as it revealed the new “Key Island” design that is expected to be adopted in the Galaxy A55 phone, which places the volume and playback buttons on a slightly raised platform on the side.

Samsung also highlighted the low-light photography skills of its upcoming phones, as the Galaxy A55 is expected to come with an improved triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

While the A35 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera as well.

Besides hinting at photography improvements in the new Galaxy A phones, Samsung also confirmed that they will get four years of Android system updates and five years of security patches, which is the same update for the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 phones.
