The Xiaomi 14 phone camera ranked third in the DxOMark rankings, one of the camera evaluation platforms, with 138 points. The evaluation includes the quality of still images, portraits, video, close-up, and other aspects.
The Xiaomi 14 phone camera comes with a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, f/1.6 lens aperture and 1/1.31-inch size, in addition to a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 115-degree field of view angle, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with optical image stabilization. Focal length 75 mm.
DxOMark noted many improvements in the Xiaomi 14 camera compared to the previous Xiaomi 13 phone, thanks to the larger sensor and wider lens aperture.
Testing praised the accuracy of exposure in various conditions, the neutral white balance, and the ability to retain high levels of detail in both photos and videos.
Despite this, the Xiaomi 14 camera suffered from some problems such as glare and shadows in still images, and noise was evident in videos captured in low-light conditions.
In contrast, brighter scenes and backlit conditions resulted in lower contrast on faces.
