Nikon announced the acquisition of RED Digital Cinema, known for digital cinema cameras such as the Red One 4K and Red Raptor
Through this deal, Nikon hopes to expand into the professional digital cinema camera market, and benefit from “Reed’s knowledge of cinema cameras, including unique image compression technology and color science.”
RED is proud to have had its cameras filmed in many major films and TV shows, including Marvel movies like Guardians of the Galaxy III and Captain Marvel, nature documentaries like Planet Earth 2, and TV shows like Squid Game, Mind Hunter, Peaky Blinders, and The Queens. Gambit.
